// Bio //
A demented romp through a musical jungle of sophisticated horns, gritty
guitars and heavy grooves. This is not background music, or spacy, shoe
gazer pop that can be quietly ignored. “Karmageddon” reaches
out and takes the listener on a high-octane joyride where there is no
escape. Right from the first track, Guitarist Dan Haeg rips it up with
killer leads that add real rock drama to every tune. Haeg’s lyrics
are cinematic in scope—you can feel an entire universe unfold
through the peaks and valleys of surging sound. What at first comes
off as the ultimate party record is actually quite complex. Unafraid
of experimentation, Danny Commando can easilly use a latin beat or harmonica
and make it their own musical property. It all comes together in a larger
than life, seamless musical phenomenon. A really strong local release
that might just help put Minneapolis back on the map.
